The Change & Release Management assistant is responsible for supporting Utiligroup’s Change and Release Managers in their day to day duties. The role involves helping to overseeing the transition of new and enhanced Services into Utiligroup’s live managed service environments and for publishing and co-ordinating releases to all Utiligroup customers.

Excellent organisation skills, customer focus and a strong sense of ownerships and personal accountability for your work is essential. Previous experience of working in Change or Release Management roles is not essential.


  • Assist in all aspects of the Change and Release Management processes
  • Understand the principle and process of Release and Change Management and how they are applied at Utiligroup
  • Assist with the administrative aspects of Release Management, including maintaining up to date distribution lists, customer and asset registers, and providing notifications to customers
  • To have a flexible approach to work and be willing to contribute and take responsibility for activities outside of a traditional change and release management role including additional customer communications and aspects of project management for industry changes
  • Building good working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Organising meetings, minute taking
  • Maintenance of Change and Release documentation
  • Providing cover for the Release and Change Managers as required.
  • Assist in the tracking and measurement of KPIs and monitoring progress
  • When required, chair the Utiligroup Change Advisory Board & Emergency CAB process
  • To identify areas of improvement in the change and release processes
  • To participate in a programme of continuous improvement, to ensure the systems and processes are appropriate to changing company and customer requirements
  • To understand the importance of change control and working within a formal change control system
  • To understand the importance of quality control, to comply with all relevant standards and procedures and participate in quality assurance and control activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
