Utiligroup is an innovative and market leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers.  We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

Working closely with the Project Management team to support and drive forwards a portfolio of existing projects and initiate new projects. This role will involve working closely with clients and internal development/testing teams

Responsibilities

Supporting team of Project Managers :-

  • Relationships – Building good working relationships with customers and stakeholders;
  • Project Management – Assisting in controlling and monitoring timelines, resource allocation, budgets, project costs and quality of deliverables;
  • Project Management – Organising meetings, minute taking, set up and maintenance project planning task and artefacts;
  • Project Initiation – project commencement tasks including participating in project documentation creation, kick off meetings etc.;
  • Project management – Project communications are clearly updated and followed, keeping stakeholders engaged and informed of project progress by collation of weekly status and generating monthly reports as required;
  • Client Management – Assist in maintaining the relationship with the client or internal stakeholders, ensuring that project management standards are adhered to such as change management, risk & issue management, dispute resolution and status reporting;
  • Project Budget/forecast Management – project budget preparation, maintenance of invoice forecast process, project resource estimating and forecasting;
  • Stakeholder Management process – Support and assist in maintaining a clear communication strategy and stakeholder engagement;
  • Project Support – providing where necessary support to the team of project managers on recording and managing project artefacts, minutes and notes and accurately recording these into the project record.

To Manage:-

  • Initiation and organisation of a project;
  • Maintenance and updating of all project documentation;
  • Communication process to stakeholders;
  • Online task management solution across all projects;
  • Project financial and resource tracking;
  • Maintain and update process documentation;
  • Ad hoc support activities for Project Management team
  • (To progress to) End to end project life cycle delivery of small to medium size projects – client facing and internal

Qualifications & Experience

About you:

  • Will have knowledge of client facing project delivery in some aspect;
  • Will have knowledge of the project delivery lifecycle;
  • Will have experience of working within a support/administration business function
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of financial control and reporting;
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of producing and managing project management artefacts;
  • to have experience of supporting project delivery across a subset of departments, customers and suppliers is highly desirable
  • experience of the electricity and/or gas industry;
  • Prince 2 Foundation Certificate is highly desirable although not essential;
  • To have delivered projects of up to £10K in revenue and/or deliveries of approx. 20 days effort and/ or up to 2 months in duration; highly desirable although not essential
