To define and prioritise, epics, user stories in line with product roadmaps. To act as the custodian of the Product Backlog and deliver business value through the features defined on Product Roadmaps. To ensure the delivery team understand the product features that are required from an industry, customer and user perspective, and to support the development of high quality software products that deliver market leading solutions for our industry and customers

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of existing product capabilities
  • Definition of business requirements and specifications through themes, epics and user story development
  • Managing, prioritising, documenting and communicating development priorities for the delivery team through the Product Backlog
  • Work intimately with product managers, scrum teams and key stakeholders to the prioritise business value features
  • Running discovery, elaboration and show and tell sessions with the delivery team and key business stakeholders
  • Working closely with, and effectively communicating to key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Applying best practice requirements and agile techniques, including keeping abreast of agile processes and technology
  • Joining all agile ceremonies to provide subject matter expertise
  • To establish clear statement of scope during release planning
  • To establish priorities to track business value through backlog refinement
  • To help to ensure that the release and products backlog have enough appropriately scoped, defined, and groomed high priority feature requirements as themes, epics and user stories
  • To work with Product Management to plan releases and manage stakeholder expectations
  • To own the Product Backlog, quality of user stories and priority of features for the delivery tea
  • To plan, define and elaborate themes, epics and user stories and collaborate in all agile ceremonies
  • To gather requirements, write user stories and collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Designers, Developers and Testers on clarification and feature definition
  • To present ideas, concepts, and product features effectively and concisely in small team settings as well as in larger group settings both inside and outside the organisation
  • To act as ‘the customer voice’ and ‘voice of the business’ for delivery team questions
  • To maintain a successful relationship with all stakeholders
