Job Summary

Utiligroup is an innovative and market leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers.  We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

Working closely with a team of Project and Programme Managers to support and drive forwards a portfolio of existing projects and new engagements. This role will involve working closely with mainly internal stakeholders but may also require client engagement.


  • Supporting the ASe-I Programme Manager: –
    • Build good working relationships with internal stakeholders
    • Programme Coordination: Generate Programme high-level dashboard / KPI’s, collation and distribution of programme level status packs, programme documentation librarian, assisting in controlling and monitoring programme costs, programme timelines and programme level RAID’s log;
    • Programme Administration: Organising meetings, minute taking, and tracking and managing of programme actions and responses from stakeholders
    • Project Initiation: Supporting ASe-i project commencement tasks including participating in project documentation creation, kick off meetings, etc.
    • Programme Budget/Forecast Management: programme budget management and maintenance including tracking of vendor invoicing affecting costs and budgets.
    • Programme Resource Management: Resource forecasting and actuals tracking, timesheet approvals
    • Stakeholder Management process: Support and assist in maintaining communication strategy. Ensure it is followed and stakeholders are engaged and informed of project progress. Collation of weekly status reports and generating monthly reports

    Supporting the Project Managers to:-

    • Project Finance Tracking:- Support in assisting to collate and update each projects finance actuals to support the invoice tracking for projects
    • Project Support:- Ad hoc support when capacity allows for tracking and monitoring of project process continuous improvements workstream
    • Project Commercial Tracking:- Support the baseline documentation management and tracking for Statement of Works (SOW) across the portfolio

    Supporting the Director of Projects to:-

    • Portfolio Support:- Ad hoc support for invoice and Finance Tracking aligning to the Programme and project tracking activities

About you (required)

  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Importance of attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience of supporting a programme or portfolio delivery across a subset of departments, customers and suppliers
  • Prince 2 Foundation Certificate (Advantage not necessity)
  • Knowledge of the software delivery Lifecycle
  • Utilities industry knowledge and experience would be a benefit but not essential
